I think people have to understand that most parents if they are being honest, really want grandchildren. When their children come out as gay their family comes to an end. In a lot of cases, there will be no one to carry on the family legacy and name. To some parents that isn't comforting.

I came out to my parents in June and they still don’t accept me for my pronouns or sexuality because they think I’m too young to know my sexuality and I’ll only be a girl. I came out as non-binary and used They/Them then but now I use He/They. They don’t believe in Trans identity/identification. But I’m still happy they love me for who I will end up being… Edit (I forgot to add this in): no matter what just know there’s a HUGE community that supports you!
